Students turned to him for personal training and professors took notice of his passion for the field.

As a Research Assistant under Dr. Monica Hubal, PhD, he investigated the difference in hypertrophy and muscle growth for 8 weeks. The study was supported by the National Institute of Health(NIH).

Ibsen became more fascinated with the internal and external complexity of the human body, so in 2004 he interned as a Physical Therapy Aide at the prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital (Ranked #5 by US News). Ibsen’s knowledge about anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and proper exercise techniques for rehabilitation grew two-fold.
